About Basics Of Hair Extension

Hair extensions are the fastest and easiest way for women and metro sexual men to add that extra needed volume to hairstyles without having to go to the salon on a regular basis. Extensions add the desired volume and length without damaging natural hair with harmful chemical treatments and products. Hair extensions are applied in a number of different ways such as clip-on, braided, bonded, glued, etc. Some can be applied at the salon or even at home. One must always remember to do thorough research on the one that will suit you the most or you will end up with a disaster similar to Britney Spear's hair in her meltdown days.
Hair Extensions are either made with both synthetic hair or natural human hair. Human hair is most recommended for obvious reasons, which are that it looks the most natural even though it is the more pricey option. Synthetic hair doesn’t look very natural yet if it is of a good quality fiber then it does create the illusion of the desired look without looking trashy. The important thing for synthetic hair extensions is to know the quality level and care for it accordingly. For instance, if it is not a very expensive quality then it is recommended not to use heating products like blow dryers or flat irons because it will damage the fibers. Some synthetic fibers such as mono-fiberss and thermofibers are strong enough styling with heat but without overheating. But with all extensions you must wash, condition, and moisturize on a daily basis to maintain the shine of the hair.

The application and color choice of the hair extension has the utmost importance. Extensions that are applied roughly will look artificial and ruin your look. If you want to apply extensions at home then it is best to opt for clip extensions. Clip extensions are just great as long as the hair quality is good. Getting hair extensions braided or glued in is best done at a salon because it will be neat, stronger, and simply last longer. While hair extensions can be reused, as the hair grows out you have to reapply the extensions after approximately 4-6 months depending on hair growth rates.
